The Kitsap Peninsula has hundreds of miles of inland and waterfront trails that provide a wide-range of activities for residents and visitors. The Kitsap Peninsula has hundreds of miles of shoreline, water and land trails perfect to enjoy leisurely paddles and strolls, and trails that can challenge even the most adventurous mountain biker or trail runner.  Trails have become so popular, that we have expanded our listings of locations throughout the region and maps that provide  information and directions for getting from point A to point B. The Clear Creek Interpretive Center, located off Bucklin Hill Road and Levin Road in Silverdale, hosts educational and cultural programs. For young children and families make a date for Discovery Play Days in the spring and summer. Naturalists lead guided walks along Clear Creek Trail, through nearshore, estuary, wetland, and woodland habitats. The "big red barn" also features exhibits, occasional speakers, and special events. Don't miss their "Salmon Art Contest" each fall.
