Farms & Animals  (return to things to do home page)

Working to Preserve & Enhance Local Farming
The Kitsap Peninsula has some of the most beautiful, old fashion rural family farms in the region. Happily, many are working farms that are open to visitors where you see animals, and buy local produce. Dedicated farmers, local advocates and the Great Peninsula Land Trust, Bainbridge Island Land Trust and other are all working together to preserve and restore local farms and increase the supply of local grown produce.

Farmers Markets
(see Calendar of Events) and at local markets, restaurants and roadside stands.

Seafood and Shellfish are also available fresh off the boat, or from the beach.

Gardening is a passion, and the Kitsap Peninsula has many full service garden centers as well as beautiful and unique gardens to tour for inspiration, or just enjoyment.
