Buena Vista (Port Gamble Historic) Cemetery
The Port Gamble town cemetery dates from 1856 when U.S. Navy Coxswain Gustave Englebrecht of the U.S.S. Massachusetts died in a skirmish with Haida raiders, in the French & Indian War in Port Gamble. Englebrecht is credited with being the first U.S. Navy man killed in the Pacific. Town founder Josiah Keller died in 1862 in Victoria and he is buried here in a plot surrounded by an iron fence, but without a headstone. The cemetery is located at NE Walker and Pacific in Port Gamble

Burley cemetery can be found driving I-16 from Gig Harbor. Going toward Purdy, you will take the Purdy exit. Go past the high school and about 1 mi you will turn left onto Bethel- Burley Road. About 1 mi you will turn left on Spuce Road. Go up hill to Willow Road. Turn left. About 1/4 mi on the left is the Burley cemetery. There is a nice entrance to cemetery and a billboard with the cemetery's name.

Ivy Green Cemetery is a division of the Bremerton Parks & Recreation Department and has a large military section with all services represented and is the site of the "Tomb of the Unknown Soldier" and a reflecting wall honoring those fallen military men and women. John H. Nibbe, Civil War hero is also buried here, as well as Wesley Harris, the Marine that Navy gun range on way the to Seabeck is named after. Open until 8PM or dusk.
